Nicholas Bennett - Chief Executive

Nicholas Bennett - Chairman and Chief Executive
BA (Hons) Psych, Fellow ABP, Chartered Fellow CIPD, Chartered Psychologist, AFBPs, Chartered Scientist.

Nicholas is Chairman and Chief Executive of Ledborough Associates, a Chartered Occupational Psychologist, a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, a Chartered Scientist and is a Fellow of the Association of Business Psychologists.

He has particular expertise in talent and personal development, including one-to-one executive coaching through to team development and organizational performance measurement. He is also very involved in personal counselling including cases of OCD and PTSD referred via organisations, their EAP providers or direct by the individual themselves.

In addition, he has over 14 years’ experience in reward and recognition management. Nicholas has worked within and for a wide range of commercial and industry sectors, including Willis Faber & Dumas, Buck Consultants and the Mellon Financial Corporation (financial services), International Thomson (publishing, printing, travel and oil), and GKN, Birmid-Qualcast, Foseco-Minsep and Alcan (engineering). He has held both senior management and consultancy roles, and his commercial background includes a company MBA from Henley Management College.

Prior to starting Ledborough Associates, Nicholas worked for fourteen years as the Head of the Human Resources and Compensation Practice for a major global consultancy. Clients included; Bank of Bermuda, British Energy, Bunzl, Chase de Vere, Colt, Gala, Mellon HRIS, Serologicals Corporation, Wilkinson Sword, Valpak and Vision Express. A regular speaker at national events, Nicholas has given presentations at both the CIPD Annual Conference and the London National Conference on Employee Benefits.

Outside the office, Nicholas has a number of interests including music. Apart from his love of ballet and Russian composers, he plays and collects vintage and other electric guitars. He also has been known to drive steam engines from time to time.

Gerry Stevenson BSc, FCIPD, FInstD
Gerry has significant HR and employee-relations skills at director level, having been involved in mergers and acquisitions and other corporate change and re-structuring. His experience covers media, financial services, manufacturing, fmcg, and leisure sectors amongst others, including International Paper, the Scottish Media Group, Norwich Union, Reckitt & Colman, and the International Thomson Organisation.

Dr George Fieldman BSc, PhD, FRSA, BABCP, UKCP
A graduate of King's College London, George is Principal Lecturer in Psychology and Director of the School of Scientific Psychotherapy at BCUC. Previously, he conducted postdoctoral research in evolutionary psychology at the University of Oxford and in occupational health psychology at St George's Hospital Medical School. He has published original research articles in both of these fields. George has also spoken on radio and TV about his own research and on other topical issues in psychology.

Dr Hugh McCredie BSc(Hons)Psych, MSc, PhD, Chartered FCIPD
Hugh specialises in the assessment and development of management competence. He held the top HR role in two successive FTSE 250 manufacturing groups for a period totaling 20 years. He is also researching part-time into the assessment and development of management competence at Manchester Business School and has published widely. Recent clients include Aliaxis, Audit Commission, Epson, Glaxo Smith Kline, Inland Revenue, Mars, Police Mutual Assurance, Royal Bank of Scotland, St Gobain Pipelines, Solaglas, South Staffs Group and Tyco.

James and his colleagues are based at 1500 Broadway, New York and provide independent advice and custom design of executive compensation programmes. James has served for more than 17 years as advisor to the top managements and boards of major corporations both in the USA and globally.

Victoria Howard, AFBPsS, MSc and Chartered Occupational Psychologist
Victoria is the Director of Psychology to Work based in Cornwall, applying the principles of psychology to work in organisational settings. Her work includes executive coaching and development, organisational health audits and structural reviews, assessment centres, training and development and team building - using appropriate psychometrics such as the Myers Briggs Type Indicator and Emotional Intelligence.

Mahsa Gharebaghi, MBA
Mahsa has particularly interests in Change Management, Organisational Behaviour and Business Development. She graduated with her MBA from the Tanaka Business School, Imperial College London after taking a Batchelors degree in English Language and Literature. Her experience includes working for 3 years in a consultative role with the Japan External Trade Organisation (JETRO), a special public institution to implement trade policy - as the Department Director of Economic Research and Analysis. This involved her in research analysis and business strategy for the Japanese government.
